Art is all of us
In every civilization, in every era, our human cultures have created, embraced, contested, and occasionally tried to suppress the arts. Creative expression is hard-wired into us – an essential part of what it means to be human.
At William and Mary, our students and faculty create the arts, study the history and aesthetics of various art forms, and examine the influences and meanings of the arts as they are woven through virtually every academic discipline. Where does it all lead? everywhere.
