About the Artist
William “Bill” Fisher received his M.F.A. from Ohio University in 1996 and his B.A. from William & Mary in 1985. From 1989 to 1993, he was an apprentice to woodblock Master Toshii Yoshida in Tokyo, Japan. Currently Bill is an associate professor and chair of the Department of Art at Georgia College & State University in Milledgeville, Georgia. His exhibitions/performances include District Fine Arts Gallery in Washington, D.C.; Phoebe Conley Gallery at California State University in Fresno, California; Glass Gallery at the University of Texas, El Paso; and Jewett Arts Center Galleries at Wellesley College in Wellesley, Massachusetts.
