Solid-State NMR Facility

Nuclear Magnetic Resonance (NMR) Facility in Applied Science and Physics

The Solid-State Nuclear Magnetic Resonance (NMR) Facility at William & Mary includes one wide-bore NMR spectrometer (300 MHz), housed in a 2500 square-foot dedicated laboratory operated by the Department of Applied Science. 

The NMR System:
  • 7.05 Tesla (300 MHz), 89 mm bore Oxford system, with 4 mm and 2.5 mm probes capable of MAS up to 15 and 35 kHz
  • AVANCE I electronics and an operation temperature range of 220–350 K
