Applied Science has a small core faculty augmented by a large number of affiliated faculty from the physics, chemistry, biology, computer science and mathematics departments as well as from nearby Jefferson Lab, VIMS and NASA Langley.

Prospective students are encouraged to contact directly any of the core faculty or affiliated faculty whose research may be of interest. More detailed information about the ongoing research in their groups is listed on our research group list. General questions can be sent to info@as.wm.edu. Prospective students are welcome to visit the department and meet with faculty and students, by contacting a faculty member in advance to arrange a meeting and/or lab tour.
