Background:
Kelley Walter holds a BA in anthropology and history from the University of Toronto. She has experience conducting investigations and data analysis in the field of cultural resource management. Additionally, as a member of the Port Tobacco Archaeological Project, Kelley has been active in engaging the public in excavations, artifact processing, and archival research at Port Tobacco, a small town in Maryland with deep prehistoric and historic deposits. She has helped maintain the project's web blog (http://porttobacco.blogspot.com/) as part of its public outreach mission. She continues to investigate the ways in which archaeologists and communities can work together for mutual benefit.
