Background
Erik graduated from the College of William & Mary with B.A. degrees in both Anthropology and History.  While he has worked on a variety of different sites in Virginia, the bulk of his research and archaeological work has been conducted in Barbados.  Erik has also worked in conjunction with Jefferson Lab in Newport News on archaeometric related projects pertaining to Barbadian material culture.  His MA thesis will involve diagnostic techniques that evaluate source clays of Barbadian redware ceramics, and how pottery manufacture tied into socio-political forces on the island during the colonial era.
