Background
Mr. Moran earned a B.A. in Anthropology from the University of Washington in 1978, and a Certificate in Applied Archaeology from GMU in 1989. Following a Field School and Internship, he worked as an archaeological technician, lab assistant, and crew chief with the Archaeology Department at Mt. Vernon for two years. He delivered a paper at the 1991 SHA Conference on the use of photographs in locating 19th and 20th century sites at Mt. Vernon. Most of his employment experience is as a draftsman with civil engineering firms; he is now working part-time as an adjunct drafting instructor at RCC.
