Background
Lita is a second-year MA/PhD student interested in 19th century Visual Culture, with emphasis on prints and photographs. The illustrated serial publication Science in Story: Sammy Tubbs the Boy Doctor and Sponsie the Troublesome Monkey (1874) is the focus of her Masters thesis, which presents an analysis of American grotesques.
Previously, Lita worked at George Eastman House: International Museum of Photography and Film in Rochester, New York as a researcher for seven years. She attained experience in the performance of antiquated process photography, archival management, and fundraising.
