Research:

Jessica Cowing's dissertation examines representations of Native peoples through formations of disability and ability in a settler nation. She has presented work at the American Studies Association Annual Meeting, the Southern American Studies Association Biennial Conference, and Crip Futurities: The Then and There of Disability Studies at the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor.
