Communication and Marketing Manager Jesse Windley '97 was the March 2011 “Toasted By Admission” award. Jesse Windley

Windley, who works for W&M's creative services department, has liaised with the admission office on a number of projects.  She received the award specifically for her collaboration on the admitted student website and the admitted student campus program websites.  More specifically she helped to provide strategic direction and layout for a number of related sites made available for newly admitted freshmen and transfer students.

Windley was nominated by both Assistant Dean of Admission Tish Lyte and Senior Assistant Dean of Admission Wendy Livingston, and selected by a vote of the undergraduate admission staff.  In their nomination of Windley, Lyte and Livingston told the admission staff, “Jesse has spent the past few months preparing four websites for us (the admitted student welcome site, the Day for Admitted Students site, the Monroe Weekend site and the ESCAPE site).  She has worked on these sites at night and on weekends and has helped give them a consistent and dynamic look that will engage our admitted students."

Additionally, Lyte and Livingston noted, "She is one of the most organized and dedicated people that we work with and has been an invaluable resource.  Jesse is one of the most on-top-of-it people we've encountered. She’s also incredibly flexible and has done an amazing job of making things as easy as possible for our team.”

Windley, who has worked for her alma mater since Decmember 2008 was "toasted" by the admission staff at an after-work gathering at Berrett’s in mid-March.
