Creative Services

While the "Toasted by Admission" award is normally presented to one individual each month, the entire staff of creative services was presented the award in August.  Their combined work as a team on the new admission communication suite is nothing short of outstanding and required the work of the entire creative services brain trust.

Last summer, the undergraduate admission office decided that the current viewbook was on its last legs and that we need a new, forward-thinking approach to our communications.  Dean of Admission and Associate Provost for Enrollment, Henry Broaddus, said we need a "spaceship;" something so new and different so as to have the best impact on prospective students.  It was then that admission and creative services joined forces.  Along with the work of mStoner, an outside firm that also developed the College's reweb project in 2008, we've created a brand new print-web communication suite that will take our admission communication to the next level.

Throughout the summer, the creative services staff have been developing a brand new website to supplement the print component of the communication suite, taking and editing photography, creating original illustrations and generating a component of the print piece.  Despite having numerous other projects on their collective plate, they created a wonderfully interactive and original product that admission is excited to share with prospective students.

The two offices met to celebrate their mutual victory, or the launching of the spaceship as it were, just before the Class of 2015 moved on to campus.
