Arriving to William & Mary
Big blue highway signs will be your friends as soon as you leave interstate 64 at exit 234 (if traveling from the west) or exit 242-A (if traveling from the east). Autumn Blast registration begins at 12:30 p.m. in Commonwealth Auditorium of the Sadler Center. For visitors using a GPS, you may find the listing of campus street addresses helpful.
Driving Directions
To Williamsburg from the Richmond Airport and points west:
- Interstate 64 East
- Exit 234 to the right (199 East)
- Travel 8 miles, then turn left down Jamestown Road
- The Admission Office is 116 Jamestown Road
To Williamsburg from the Norfolk Airport and points east:
- Interstate 64 West
- Exit 242-A (199 West)
- Travel 5.2 miles, then turn right down Jamestown Road
- The Admission Office is 116 Jamestown Road
Autumn Blast Parking
Sadler Center is approximately a 5-7 minute walk from the Undergraduate Admission Office. We recommend parking in the parking lot behind the Admission Office and walking to Sadler Center. Please use the walking map listed above for walking directions. We will also have students stationed at the admission office to help direct you to the Sadler Center. There is no cost to park in this lot, and no parking pass is needed to park on campus on the weekend. However, you will still want to avoid parking in Reserved, Service Vehicle, city street parking or Colonial Williamsburg area parking spaces.
Off-campus parking in the nearby Colonial Williamsburg P6 parking lot
Please note: There is a $2 per hour fee, and our campus visitor parking permits are not honored.
- For paid parking, continue onto South Boundary Street after turning right off of Richmond Road
- Turn left onto Route 5 East/Francis Street by Berret's Seafood Restaurant.
- The P6 parking lot is located immediately to your right.
To walk to the Sadler Center from P6
Exit the parking lot on the Francis Street side. Cross the street at the cross walk, and proceed left up to the corner by Berret's Seafood Restaurant. Turn right, and cross the street at the first cross walk. Follow the brick path up Jamestown Road to the admission office on the left. At this point, cross the street at the crosswalk onto main campus. Walk straight until you see a large sunken grass lawn which we call the Sunken Garden on your left. Turn left on the other side of the Sunken Garden (in front of Tucker Hall and a statue of James Monroe). Walk along the brick path with the Sunken Garden to your left. At the end of the straight brick path, continue down a slight hill towards your right. When you come across a road, look left and the Sadler Center will be the large red brick building to your left.
