What's Next?

Your timeline from now to arriving on campus

We know you're excited to start your William & Mary experience. This timeline will help you plan for important events for admitted students, watch for additional communications from William & Mary and meet deadlines for everything from submitting your enrollment deposit to completing your housing/roommate survey.

A list of new student requirements is available on the Student Transition Engagement Programs website. In early May, a more detailed checklist of new student requirements will be available through the Tribe Guide.

Now!

Find your W&M student ID number (nine-digit number beginning with 93 at the bottom of your decision letter) and activate your W&M student account with a secure, personalized password. Your account can then be accessed by selecting Banner on myW&M. You will also need the email address that you listed on your admission application. This will also activate your W&M Outlook email account (powered by Microsoft 365), which you should check regularly. The standard format for a W&M student email address is wmusername@wm.edu. You will also need the email address that you listed on your admission application.

March 1

Deadline for submitting the FAFSA & CSS Profile for students wishing to be considered for financial aid. The Financial Aid Office has provided detailed instructions on how to apply for aid.

*Note: Given the delays in receiving FAFSA data for the 2024-25 year, William & Mary will be working to ensure that anyone experiencing challenges with filing the FAFSA will still be given full consideration of financial aid eligibility, even if the FAFSA is received after the published deadlines.
