William & Mary encourages you to apply online through the Common Application website. However, if you prefer you may download and complete the required application forms and submit your application to the College via postal mail.

Required application forms include:

Freshmen:

• The Common Application, the Secondary School Report form, an optional Teacher Evaluation form and the Midyear Report form (Please note: William & Mary requires that a high school transcript and counselor letter of recommendation accompany the Secondary School Report form, and does not require but gladly accepts one Teacher Evaluation form with accompanying letter of recommendation.).
• The William & Mary Supplement to the Common Application.  The Supplement includes the In-State Tuition form required of all Virginia residents applying for in-state tuition.  The Supplement is also where you indicate your intention to apply for W&M's joint degree program with St Andrews University.  For additional context, check out the William & Mary admission office's video message about the writing that is part of your application and the people who will be reading it. 
• Early Decision Agreement required of all students applying under W&M's binding early-decision policy

Transfers:

• The Common Application for Transfers, Transfer Supplement to the Common Application, an optional Instructor Evaluation, and the Mid-Term Report (Please note: William & Mary requires that high school and college transcripts accompany your application.  The Mid-term Report can be faxed to 757.221.1242.  Read more about the transfer admission process and additional application requirements/instructions.)

* Students who have applied to William & Mary within the past year do not need to complete the entire application again. Instead, you should complete and submit the Reopen Application Form (PDF) by the appropriate deadline. The College Official's Report Form is also required if you are currently enrolled at another institution.

Please note that unless you have the full version of Adobe Acrobat (different from the free Acrobat Reader), you will not be able to complete the downloaded application with your computer. Neatly handwritten forms are acceptable and your essays do not need to be printed on the official application form.
