Historically Black Greek Organizations

Active organizations include Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity Inc. (founded at the College at 1975), Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Inc. (1981), and Delta Sigma Theta Sorority Inc. (1976).
Hulon Willis Association

The Hulon Willis Association is a constituent group of the William & Mary Alumni Association founded in 1992 by and for African-American alumni.
Lambda Alliance

This is the College's gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgendered, questioning and straight allies organization.

Multicultural Organizations President's Council

This council comprises all active multicultural organization presidents and meets monthly.

Student Assembly Department of Diversity Initiatives

Emerging as an outgrowth of the NAACP Diversification Project, this new department centralizes student diversity affairs and sponsors a number of programs and initiatives available to all students.
William and Mary Safe Zone
-
The general purpose of our Safe Zone program is to reduce homophobia and heterosexism on our campus and thereby make our campus a safer and freer environment for all members of the community, regardless of sexual orientation. Faculty, staff, and students who participate in Safe Zone training are particularly equipped to serve as a resource for people seeking clarification around issues of sexual diversity.
