Campus Events

The office of the Vice President for Student Affairs plans and coordinates a number of significant campus events each year.

• Opening Convocation celebrates the beginning of the academic year and offers an opportunity for the campus community to formally welcome its newest members.
• Parents and families of all students are invited to join us each year for Family Weekend, held in late September or early October. The weekend offers an array of activities designed to give family members an up-close-and-personal glimpse of life at William and Mary.
• The Winter Graduates Reception is an informal yet celebratory occasion in honor of those students completing degrees in December/January.  All participants in the Winter Graduates Reception are invited to return to campus in May to join in the College's formal Commencement activities.
• Commencement Weekend welcomes families back to campus as we celebrate the achievements of their graduating students.
