Visiting Assistant Professor of English and Africana Studies

Background
Olaocha Nwabara, Visiting Assistant Professor of English and Africana Studies, earned her Ph.D. in African American and African Studies from Michigan State University. Her research focuses on African Diaspora studies, African studies, transnationalism, post colonialism, cultural studies (i.e. cultural productions), and racial and ethnic identity formation. Her teaching assignments in Africana Studies will be Introduction to Africana Studies; Culture, Language, and Identity; and The Contemporary African Diaspora in Global Perspective. In English, her teaching assignments include a course for non-majors, African Identities in Literature.​
