Dunia Catalina Mendez-Vallejo has been hired as Hispanic Studies Language Coordinator. She holds a dual Ph.D. in Linguistics and Hispanic Linguistics from Indiana University. She has deep experience teaching a variety of language courses at the undergraduate level and also graduate-level courses in Hispanic Linguistics. Of particular interest to the Hispanic Studies section is her experience with curriculum revision and the coordination of upper-division courses at West Virginia University. She has four articles in print and several submitted for publication. She will teach Intermediate Spanish, advanced Spanish Grammar and Composition, and Introduction to Spanish Phonetics.
