William Soto, Assistant Professor of Biology, earned his Ph.D. in biology at New Mexico State University. He was an NSF BEACON Distinguished Postdoctoral Fellow at Michigan State University from 2014-16. He was also an HHMI Postdoctoral Fellow at the University of Minnesota University, Twin Cities from 2012-14. His research interests include microbial ecology, microbial evolution, and host-microbe interactions. Possible courses include microbiology, microbial ecology/environmental microbiology, microbial physiology, and biology of bioluminescence (journal club).
