Henry Wolf

Mr. Wolf received his B.A. (economics) in 1964 from the College of William and Mary; J.D. in 1966 from the Marshall-Wythe School of Law; M.B.A. (business) in 1970 from Louisiana State University; and LL.M. in 1973 from Georgetown University School of Law.  In 1992 he completed the Harvard Advanced Management Program at the Harvard Business School.  In 2007 he retired as Vice Chairman and Chief Financial Officer of Norfolk Southern Corporation, after a career that spanned more than 34 years.  Before joining Norfolk Southern he was an attorney for the United States Tax Court and the Internal Revenue Service.  Mr. Wolf served four years in the United States Army, attaining the rank of Captain in the Judge Advocate General=s Corps.  He is a member of the American Bar Association and Virginia Bar Association.  Mr. Wolf serves on the Board of Trustees of the Colonial Williamsburg Foundation and is a member of the boards of directors of AGL Resources, Inc., Hertz Global Holdings, Inc., and the Colonial Williamsburg Company. He is an Emeritus member of the Council for the Virginia Institute of Marine Science and served as a member of the Board of Visitors of Eastern Virginia Medical School (1998-2004) and an Adjunct Professor at Roanoke College (1975-1990).  Mr. Wolf was appointed to the Board in 2003 and reappointed in 2007.  Mr. Wolf is a past chair of the Committee on Financial Affairs, past chair of the ad hoc Committee on Restructuring, and from 2006 to 2009 served as Vice Rector of the College.  Currently, he serves as Rector of the College and Chair of the Executive Committee.
