Christopher M. Little

Christopher LittleMr. Little graduated from Yale University with a B.A. in 1963; he earned his LL.B. in 1966 from the University of Texas and completed the Executive Program at the Stanford University Graduate School of Business in 1978. Mr. Little retired in 2001 as President of the Publishing Group of the Meredith Corporation, which he joined as Vice President and Publishing Director in 1992. Prior to joining Meredith, he was President of Cowles Magazines (1989-1992) and had a distinguished career at The Washington Post Company from 1976 to 1989. He is currently chair of the board of the American Shakespeare Center, chair of the Community Advisory Council of the Heifetz International Music Institute, chair of the Advisory Council of the AFS Foundation, executive committee member of the Virginia Haiti Collaborative, and serves as an advisor to the Virginia Baroque Performance Academy. In 2014, Mr. Little was appointed by the Rector as the Board Liaison to the Monroe Legacy Working Group, which is charged with working with The Monroe Commission to preserve and promote President James Monroe's legacy. Mr. Little was appointed to the Board of Visitors in 2014. Currently he serves as Vice Chair of the Committee on Audit and Compliance and Vice Chair of the Committee on University Advancement.
