Kathy Hornsby
Ms. Hornsby received her B.A. (Education) from the College of William and Mary in 1979, and studied Visual Communications at the University of California, Los Angeles from 1980 to 1984. She is currently Vice-President of O.F.S., Ltd. and Business Manager for musician/songwriter Bruce Hornsby, as well as an artist, exhibiting her paintings in group and solo shows at Ganache Hill Gallery, The Trellis Restaurant, This Century Art Gallery and The Williamsburg Regional Library.  Previously, Ms. Hornsby was a teacher at John Rolfe Middle School in Henrico County, Virginia (1979-1980) and at Pinecrest Junior High School in Sherman Oaks, California (1984-1986) before working as a graphic artist for Abbey & Clark in Pasadena, California (1984-1986).  Ms. Hornsby is very active in community affairs, including serving as the co-founder of the Williamsburg Land Conservancy and is the recipient of the Joy Archer Award of Excellence in 2005.  She served as Class of 1979 reporter for the alumni magazine and is active in support of the Muscarelle Museum of Art, currently serving as a member of the Acquisitions and Deacquisitions Committee.  Among her other interests, Ms. Hornsby is a board member of the Williamsburg Community Foundation, member of the Advisory Council of Peninsula Habitat for Humanity, the Steering Committee for the Williamsburg Visual Arts Center, the Williamsburg-James City County Community Scholarship Fund, and former chair of Child Development Resources. Ms. Hornsby was appointed to the Board of Visitors in 2007.  Currently she serves as Chair of the Richard Bland College Committee, and is a member of the Committee on Buildings and Grounds and the Committee on Academic Affairs; she serves as Board liaison to the Alumni Association.
