Community Involvement, and Relations with Alumni and Prospective
Students!
The William
and Mary Balfour Hillel Board of Governors will establish
high quality guidance and fundraising efforts to provide
the important organizational infrastructure to advance
successful Jewish Campus Life at the College of William
and Mary for many generations to come!
The Board of Governors consists of a target group of professionals
who believe in and actively promote the highest standards of
success for Jewish Campus Life that Hillel provides at the College
of William and Mary. Members of the board include faculty
advisors, local temple and regional Jewish community leaders,
and significant community and alumni donors who believe in our
mission and vision for the future. The most prevalent skill
areas that board members bring to William and Mary Hillel include:
Business, Education, Law, Accounting, Public Relations, Marketing,
and Rabbinical!
Empowerment, Engagement, Mentorship, & Resources!
The Board of Governors will support the following
goals and initiatives:
- Recruit new
board members and community builders, identify future donors,
and raise money.
- Serve as a
liaison to Jewish agencies and University organizations regarding
joint efforts.
- Oversee and
hire a Hillel professional.
- Develop the
annual budget.
- Advise and
aid students to implement a long-term fundraising and financial
strategy.
- Coordinate
regional and national networking and publicity, including
public relations, newspaper articles, calendars, brochures,
alumni relations, and prospective student outreach.
- Serve as mentors
for students.
- Act as ambassadors
of William and Mary Balfour Hillel!
