NCAA Self Study
NCAA Self-Study Objectives
Through broad, campus-wide participation in the NCAA Self-Study process required for recertification, the College of William and Mary intends:
- To increase institutional self awareness about 1) its intercollegiate athletics
program's goals and purposes, 2) the challenges facing athletics, and 3) the
ways in which athletics supports the College's mission;
- To reveal the aspects of the athletics program worthy of praise and thereby
to affirm the value of the program to the College of William and Mary and
to its students;
- To reveal areas where there are opportunities for improvement in the athletics
program and to provide a forum for suggestions from individuals with a wide
range of experience; and
- To provide data, analysis, and recommendations supportive of the scheduled Southern Association of Colleges and Schools (SACS) accreditation process with a special focus on developing information supportive of decision making for continuous improvement.
